WALK OF FAME EXHIBIT TO ARRIVE AT MUSUEM OF AFRICAN ART
 
CELEBRATE THE BRAVE WARRIORS OF JUSTICE WHO SACRIFICED
AND STRUGGLED TO MAKE EQUALITY A REALITY FOR US ALL
 
LOS ANGELES, CA – February 8, 2008 – April 3 through 12, a new exhibit at the Museum of African American Art, located in Macy’s Baldwin Hills, will teach individuals about the “footprints” of thirteen leaders of the Civil Rights moment in their struggle for equal rights. The International Civil Rights Walk of Fame Exhibit will display a collection of shoes donated by past and present inductees into the Trumpet Awards Foundation, Inc.’s International Civil Rights Walk of Fame:

To celebrate the legacy of these honorees, Macy’s and the Museum of African American Art will host a Community Day open house event on Sunday April 6 from 2 to 6 p.m. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment, surprises and more as they view the Walk of Fame Exhibit. Macy’s will also host a private gala for prominent leaders in the African American community, including Xernona Clayton, founder, president and CEO of the Trumpet Awards Foundation, Inc. and Creator and Executive Producer of the Foundation’s Trumpet Awards.   
 
Macy’s, Inc., a founding sponsor of the Trumpet Awards, is honored to display the exhibit nationally for the first time, making Los Angeles its final destination. The exhibit is part of a permanent collection at the Trumpet Awards Foundation, Inc. in Atlanta, GA.
