Happy Black History Month
I’ve stated it many times and I’m saying it again BLACK History Month is 365
days a year.
We are approaching the primaries for our elected president of the US. We
are blessed especially those 45 and older who remember Dr. King stating someday
I hope that man will be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content
of their character and today during BLACK HISTORY MONTH we are fortunate to have
BARACK OBAMA a young BLACKMAN who knows what it’s like to be poor as well as
affluent in America.
Barack Obama is a man of character. Dr. King would be proud.
Black history month is a renewal - a continuing of the 7 principles of KWANZAA.
We must remember, rejoice and re-educate ourselves and our youth - the youth
must know the struggles and triumphs. The struggle where men and women
died so we could have the right to vote, go to the school of our choice, run for
office and be free.
Our struggles continue but we must make a change and we must vote in 2008 - Tell
a friend and go in the neighborhoods and make sure the people have a way to the
polls.
We must all come together and celebrate our rich history.
Do not forget that BLACK PEOPLE have made so many contributions and inventions
to make our lives richer and better. We must always remind our children of
their greatness and always
- SAY FREEDOM -
